Combatting the climate crisis

The climate crisis is the biggest challenge of our time. In the city council, GroenLinks has made great strides in making our city greener and more sustainable. We are the only party that is both green and left. We combine these aspects to figth climate change in a fair way. We will make the city drastically greener. We will invest in more trees, bicycle lanes and clean air.

These are our plans

We will invest in insulation of houses and in solar panels. We will make houses more sustainable and simultaneously help bring energy costs down. Everyone should be able to pay their energy bills.
We will lower pollution by lowering the use of fossile fuels in the city, fighting the disturbance caused by wood smoke in fire places. We are against biomass energy plants.
We will invest in many extra trees and other plants. Especially in those areas that have a lot of bare stone surfaces and in the city centre.
In 2030 our city centre should be car free. More space for pedestrians, cyclists and green.
